Imago Dei’s Mission

Imago Dei seeks to guide people to their own healthier, happier, authentic lifestyles.

Every person deserves moments of calm and joy. Therefore, using yoga and yogic philosophy, Imago Dei hopes to positively impact your life in a way you can continue to replicate.

Current offerings include in-person teaching (group, private, and event), Online Instruction through YouTube, Instagram, and natural aromatic sprays

Types of Instruction

Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa is a type of yoga that flows from one pose (asana) to another with the breath. Vinyasa can be gentle or vigorous for either beginners or advanced practitioners.

Restorative & Yin

Both Restorative and Yin are super slow-paced meditative practices. Restorative seeks to relax the body and mind while Yin seeks to deeply stretch the body and release tension

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra, also called Yoga Sleep, is guided deep relaxation. One hour of Yoga Nidra is said to equal four hours of regular sleep. Regular practitioners will also be able to set heartfelt resolves (Sankalpa) upon the subconscious.

Breath Work and Meditation

Meditation can be intimidating to the new practitioner. Breath work (Pranayama) is an excellent way to ease the mind into a meditative state. Guided breath can help the body and mind relax while meditation can further calm the self bringing self awareness and clarity.

about Anne

Hi my name is Anne and I am very excited and honored to be teaching yoga.  Sharing yoga with others and my own personal practice are both passions of mine.

I discovered yoga about 12 years ago while recovering from a life changing bicycle accident that sent me to the trauma ER and surgery.   I was immediately captivated by my first online yoga experience.  As a stay-at-home mom at the time, I found yoga and my time on my mat to be my little island of self-care.

Several years later, with a move to Texas and my kids all grown, I discovered Vibe Yoga and truly began to experience a yoga community.   I was blessed and fortunate to called Vibe my yoga home as a student and then also as a teacher after earning my RYT 200 certification in 2020.  And most recently I returned to my online beginnings and completed my RYT 300 certification  2023.

I can’t wait to learn and grow along side you as we share our joy of yoga together.

Until we meet on our mats, peace, Anne

About Doris

I encountered yoga around 1990 while still living in my home country of Germany. Yoga showed me how moving with your breath and doing what feels good in your body can
transform all aspects of your life.

In 2001 my young family moved to the US, and my yoga practice got put on hold for a few years.

But in 2017 I finally started to make yoga a constant part of my life again, and decided 3 years later to become a yoga teacher myself. I earned my RYT 200 in 2020 at Vibe Yoga in Allen.

I am also certified in yin and restorative yoga. I started teaching in March 2021 at Vibe Yoga.
